A Mongolia VPS starts at $107 a month for the Jupiter plan, and the price climbs to $389 for Mercury. Those numbers are worth weighing against what you actually get, which is mostly presence: a server in Ulaanbaatar with a local IP address, sitting on the same network as the people you want to reach.
Why a Mongolia VPS instead of a server abroad
Mongolia sits between Russia to the north and China to the south, and Ulaanbaatar, the capital, is home to a large share of the population. Mongolian is the main language. When your visitors are in the country, traffic to a local server does not have to leave for a foreign data center and come back. Pages load over a shorter path, and any service that looks up where your IP address is registered will see Mongolia.
This tends to matter most for local e-commerce, government-facing or regional portals, mobile app backends, and companies that simply want their data held in the country.
Four plans, one pattern
Each step up roughly doubles the memory and disk. The bandwidth column reads unlimited on every plan, but transfer is capped per month, so that is the number to watch.
Jupiter and Mars
Jupiter gives you 1 GB of memory, 1 core, 15 GB of disk and 1,000 GB of transfer for $107. Mars doubles the memory to 2 GB and the disk to 30 GB, keeps a single core, and raises transfer to 2,000 GB for $157. Mars is the plan we would suggest for a typical business website with a database.
Venus and Mercury
Venus moves to 4 GB, 2 cores, 60 GB of disk and 3,000 GB of transfer for $243. Mercury is the largest option: 8 GB of memory, 4 cores, 120 GB of disk and 4,000 GB of transfer at $389. These two suit busier stores, several sites behind one control panel, or an application server that handles steady traffic all day.
One caution. If your project serves video or large downloads to users all over the world, the transfer caps and the price will add up quickly. For that kind of load, keep the Mongolian server for local users and handle global traffic somewhere else.
A quick way to size it
Look at the outgoing traffic from the last month on your current host. If it is under 1,000 GB and your site runs comfortably in 1 GB of memory, Jupiter will do. If you are close to the limit on either, go one plan up rather than running at the edge. You can reinstall the OS at any time, so starting small and testing is reasonable once ordering opens.
Linux only at this location
We do not offer Windows Server or MikroTik in Ulaanbaatar. Your choices are Ubuntu, Debian, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux and CentOS. If your application depends on Windows, this is not the right location for it. You get full root access over SSH and can install any control panel, runtime or database you like. Reinstalling the OS and rebooting are both done from the client area.
Payment options
You can pay with any cryptocurrency on any network, for example Bitcoin, USDT, USDC, Ethereum, TRON, BNB, Litecoin or Dogecoin. PayPal works too.
